Nathan Taylor - Author
Nathan Taylor was born in Canberra, Australia, in 1988. He attended school at Finley High School and studied teaching at Griffith University on the Gold Coast.
He made his first professional short story sale in 2018 to Underground Writers Monthly. At this time, he was teaching in Western Queensland. Writing on the weekends and during school holidays, he continued to produce short stories and to work on novels. In 2023, Nathan started his indie publication journey with Magpie Drive Press with his contemporary fantasy, ‘The Non-Magical Declan Moore’ which was shortlisted for the 2023 Aurealis Awards’ ‘Best Young Adult Novel’.
Nathan enjoys a wide range of books, ranging from old-timey literary classics to modern genre fiction. His most frequent recommendations are The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan (for people who have lots of time) and This Is How You Lose The Time War by Max Gladstone and Amal El-Mohtar (for people who have little time).
Nathan lives in Western Queensland with his wife, three children and fluffy cavoodle.
